Beit Shemesh Family Mourns 3 Children Killed by Iranian Missile Strike
An Iranian missile struck the Biton family home in Beit Shemesh on March 1, killing three of their four children: Yaakov (16), Avigail (15), and Sarah (13), in the deadliest Iranian attack on Israel since the U.S.-Israel bombing campaign began. The family is sitting shiva at a Jerusalem hotel after their home was destroyed; father Yitzhak, a rabbi, was teaching a yeshiva class when the missile hit, killing his son and the boy best friend in the same strike. The attack killed nine people in total and hospitalized 65 others, with several other families also losing multiple members. Despite their grief, the Bitons say their faith sustains them, with mother Tamar stating that faith is a gift from God that gives the ability to face these challenges.
